Their first two wins against UNC and NC State came by one point each on a missed game-winning shot by Markus Burton. They lost by eight points to Duke despite having the top-five team within three with just minutes to play. Starling, the team’s leading scorer, had 21 points in the win.

They won a back-to-back game, beating Boston College by eight points on the road last weekend on a 26-point performance from Starling. Earlier this week, they dropped their fourth conference game to Louisville by 14 points. Starling is averaging 18.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game this season for Syracuse.
