Ohio will travel at the end of this week in a college basketball battle between two Mid-American Conference teams. On Friday it will face Kent State at the M.A.C. Center. The Ohio Bobcats are 13-11 overall this season heading into this week. After finishing just 6-7 against non-conference teams, they have since gone 7-4 against teams in the MAC. They are one game behind Toledo, three games behind Miami (OH), and four games behind the conference-leading Akron, who is undefeated at 11-0 in conference play.

They dropped a game at the beginning of the month against Miami on the road by four points. In the middle of last week, they beat Western Michigan at home by 25 points. AJ Clayton led the team in that win with 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Last weekend, they stayed home and lost to Appalachian State by 13 points in an MAC-SBC Challenge game. AJ Brown led the team in the loss with 18 points.

The Kent State Golden Flashes are 16-8 overall this season. Five of their eight total losses have come against conference teams. They are 6-5 in the MAC, just one game behind their opponent in this game. They are one game ahead of Ball State and two games ahead of Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Eastern Michigan.

They bring a two-game conference winning streak into this game They took down Eastern Michigan by 21 points in the first game of February followed by a win against Arkansas State by one point in an MAC-SBC Challenge game. Their second conference win this month came against Central Michigan by eight points. Marquis Barnett led the team with 28 points on 10-of-13 shooting in the win.
