Oklahoma State and Wichita State are both looking to bounce back from conference tournament losses in the first round of the NIT on Tuesday.
Oklahoma State and Wichita State, who are usually NCAAM Tournament mainstays, will face off in the first round of the NIT on Tuesday night. The Cowboys are two games under .500 but they will be hosting the Shockers. Oklahoma State will be favored though as it has a -5.5 line in its favor. That is probably because the Cowboys are 12-3 at home. Oklahoma State is coming off back-to-back games against Cincinnati.

The Cowboys looked dominant at home against the Bearcats in the final game of Big 12 play in the regular season winning 78-67 led by Abou Ousmane who scored 24 points. The first round of the Big 12 tournament did not go the same way in Kansas City, MO with the No. 12 Cowboys losing to the No. 13 Bearcats 87-68. It was Connor Dow who led the way for OSU with 12 points in a game the Cowboys were never really in. It was head coach Steve Lutz’ first DI conference tournament loss in his career.
Wichita State is also coming off a loss but this one was a nail-biter as the Shockers lost to Memphis 83-80 on Friday in the AAC Championship Quarterfinal. PJ Haggerty was just too dominant for Wichita State to complete the comeback. The Tigers guard had a game-high 42 points and Memphis was still able to win despite shooting just 20 percent from three. Wichita State shot 41.7 percent from the arc with Bijan Cortes leading the team with 19 points. Wichita State is 19-14 overall so it can absolutely keep it close on the road tonight.
