With both teams looking to get back in the win column at the JMA Wireless Dome this weekend, Syracuse hosts conference foe Pittsburgh in Syracuse on Saturday afternoon. Coming off a loss earlier this week to Clemson, the Orange are having an up-and-down season with a 9-10 overall record and a 3-5 mark in ACC play. Eight of Syracuse’s nine wins have come at home, where the Orange are 8-3 at the JMA Wireless Dome compared to a 1-4 road record. Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has lost four-straight games to drop to 12-6 overall with a 3-4 conference record and a 2-3 road record this season. Syracuse has won two straight games over Pittsburgh to pull to an even 23-23 in the series history, including a 69-58 win last January.

Most recently, Syracuse fell on the road to Clemson in a 86-72 loss at Littlejohn Coliseum on Wednesday night. The Orange were led by JJ Starling’s 25 points with five made three-pointers while Eddie Lampkin Jr. poured in 14 points in the loss. 

As for Pittsburgh, the Panthers also fell to Clemson in an overtime thriller by a final score of 78-75 at home last Saturday. Ishmael Leggett finished the game with a team-high 18 points, and Leggett nearly won the game in regulation with a halfcourt three that hit the back of the rim. 

Syracuse will now host Pittsburgh at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday.
