Now back over .500, Providence will try and extend its winning streak to three games when it heads on the road on Tuesday to take on Creighton in Big East action.
After a tough start to conference play, Providence (9-8, 3-3 Big East) had a week last week that could be a step in the right direction. The Friars played a pair of home games and picked up two wins, beating Butler 84-65 on Wednesday and then Seton Hall 91-85 on Saturday. Those two wins followed a close 87-84 loss on the road against UConn, as the team is seemingly now heading in the right direction. With those wins Kim English’s team is now back to .500 in conference play, and over .500 on the season. They’ll try to extend the winning streak this Tuesday night, when they head back on the road and take on Creighton (10-6, 3-2 Big East).

Providence is stepping into a tough enviroment in CHI Health Center Omaha. The Bluejays are 8-1 at home this year, compared to 1-3 on the road and 1-2 at neutral sites. Their lone home loss came all the way back in late November against Nebraska.
This game is also a rematch of last year’s Big East Tournament quarterfinal round. After beating Georgetown in the first round, seventh-seed Providence took on second-seed Creighton coming off a bye. The Friars pulled off the upset, winning 78-73. That win ended up being as far as they would get, as they lost to third seed Marquette 79-68 in the semifinal round.
