Richmond will take a road trip on Wednesday for an Atlantic 10 matchup against St. Bonaventure in college basketball action.
On Wednesday night, the Richmond Spiders will take a trip to New York to play the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at the Reilly Center. The Bonnies come into their home match with an overall record of 14-3 and a conference record of 2-2, putting them in seventh place in the A-10 standings. The team got off to a strong start in conference play, winning its first two games, but dropped its last two with the most recent being a tough 83-82 defeat by La Salle in overtime on Saturday. Lajae Jones led the Bonnies in scoring with a game-high 24 points and three of his teammates also finished in double figures. Despite the strong offensive play which had the Bonnies shooting 47 percent from the field and 52 percent from long range, the Explorers were able to score on a buzzer-beater to take the win.

The Spiders will look to break a two-game losing streak with a win on Wednesday night. The team, however, is just 1-5 on the road this season, so the odds are in the Bonnies’ favor. Richmond brings an overall record of 7-10 and a conference record of 2-2 into Wednesday night’s contest, which has them sitting in 10th place in the A-10 standings. On Saturday, the team hosted Rhode Island and fell in a tightly contested 67-64 defeat. Dusan Neskovic finished with a game-high 28 points to lead the Spiders offensively and was joined in double figures by Mikkel Tyne and Mike Walz, who scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. The score was tied 10 times and saw 11 lead changed, but the win ultimately went to the Rams.
This will be the 34th meeting between St. Bonaventure and Richmond and the Spiders hold a 19-14 lead. The Bonnies have won nine of the last 12 meetings between the teams, but Richmond picked up a 65-54 win in the last meeting.
