They have won four straight games this month. In the last week, they took down Rhode Island by 15 points at home and Saint Louis by two points in overtime on the road. Darius Maddox led George Mason in the Rhode Island win with a game-high 24 points. In the Wednesday night game, Woody Nelson led the team with 27 points, while Jalen Haynes does all the dirty work rebounding.
The Saint Joseph’s Hawks are 15-9 overall this season and have fallen to just 6-5 against teams in the A10. They are tied with Loyola-Chicago and sit a half-game ahead of UMass.
