The Rams have won their last five matchups with Saint Louis, including a two-game sweep last season. The Billikens played in the 2022 NIT and last reached the NCAA tournament in 2019. VCU advanced to the NIT quarterfinals last spring after a 2023 NCAA tourney bid.

Saint Louis held off visiting St. Bonaventure on Wednesday for a 73-68 victory. Gibson Jimerson went for 28 points while Isaiah Swope knocked in 16. Jimerson scores 18.8 points per game, Swope averages 18.1 points and 5.3 assists and Kalu Anya posts 7.8 points and 9.7 rebounds a night.

The Rams shook off a cold first half on Wednesday to pull away from visiting Fordham for a 73-61 win. Joe Bamisile led the way with 18 points, while Max Shulga knocked in 16. Bamisilie nets 16.1 points per game, Shulga puts in 15.7 points an outing and Jack Clark averages 7.1 points and 7.0 boards.

VCU is 16-5 all-time against the Billikens and have won eight of the last 10. Last season, the Rams got an 85-61 homecourt victory on Jan. 19 and a 95-85 win at Saint Louis on Feb. 16.
