Furman will host Samford on Wednesday night for a Southern Conference matchup in college basketball action.

With less than a dozen games before conference tournaments, teams across the country are working to move up in their respective conference standings to earn a spot in postseason play. The same rings true for Furman on Wednesday night as the Paladins host the Samford Bulldogs at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in college basketball for a Southern Conference contest. The Paladins are currently in sixth place in the conference standings with a SoCon record of 4-4 and an overall record of 16-5. The team’s most recent game was played against Mercer and resulted in a 79-74 victory on the road. Nick Anderson led the Furman offense with an 18-point performance, while Eddrin Bronson and PJay Smitch Jr. added 16 and 15 points, respectively. Ben VanderWal led on the boards with nine rebounds to help the team hold onto possession and earn the win.
