San Diego State and San Jose State will look to climb the Mountain West standings with a win on Tuesday night. Watch free on Fubo.

The San Diego State Aztecs will travel on Tuesday to take on the San Jose Spartans at the Provident Credit Union Event Center for a Mountain West matchup. The Spartans are currently in eighth place in the conference standings with a Mountain West record of 5-8 and an overall record of 12-13. The team’s most recent game took place on Friday night against Boise State and resulted in a tough 79-52 loss on the road. Latrell Davis was the only Spartan in double figures with 14 points making it difficult for the team to keep the Broncos within striking distance. Boise State led by 12 at halftime and it proved to be too much of deficit for the Spartans to make up.

The Aztecs have found more success in conference play and are currently 8-4 against Mountain West opponents and 15-6 overall. On Saturday, the team traveled to Fort Collins to take on Colorado State, falling in a 68-63 defeat to the third-place Rams. The game was a highly-competitive one which saw the score tied six times and the lead change four times. Magoon Gwath scored 15 points to lead the Aztecs’ offense and also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to earn a double-double in the loss. The team finished the game shooting 37 percent from the field and 34 percent from long range. The biggest challenge seemed to be from the line as the team missed 10 free throws which would have found the Aztecs on top.

San Diego State and San Jose State have already met once this season and the game went in the Aztecs’ favor at home in a narrow 71-68 victory. Tune in Tuesday night to see if the Spartans can even the score at home.
