Robert Vaihola led on the boards with 11 rebounds to help the team hold on to possession, but it still wasn’t enough and the team dropped to 7-10 overall.

The team is just ahead of the Spartans in the standings at 0-4 and are currently 3-12 on the season. On Wednesday night, Air Force traveled to California to play San Diego State, falling 67-38. Ethan Taylor was the only Falcon in double figures with 11 points, making it difficult for the team to keep the Aztecs within reach. The Falcons only shot 30 percent from the field and 25 percent from beyond the arc. They also missed 11 foul shots to finish at 50 percent from the line. The team will have a difficult time competing in the rest of its conference games if those numbers are not improved upon.
