Wright State (4-3) dropped a narrow decision in Friday’s semifinal game at the Myrtle Beach Invitational at The HTC Center in Conway, South Carolina, and looks to bounce back when it takes on South Florida (3-3) in the tournament’s consolation game on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders made their last foray into the NCAA tournament in 2022 and were 18-14 last season, with Chris Sargent moving up to head coach in March after Scott Nagy left for Southern Illinois. Ben Fletcher serves as interim coach for the Bulls after the death of Amir Abdur-Rahim earlier this month. South Florida’s last NCAA bid came in 2012 and they went to the NIT last spring, finishing 25-8.
