St. Bonaventure carries a 3-game losing streak into the Mullins Center on Saturday as it visits UMass in A-10 play

UMass (11-14) is 6-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference play, with alternating wins and losses over its last four games. On Saturday, the Minutemen welcome St. Bonaventure (17-9) to the Mullins Center in Amherst, Massachusetts. The Bonnies have lost three straight to fall to 5-8 in the A-10 and are 5-5 on the road, with UMass just 7-6 at home this season. The Minutemen last played in the NCAA tournament in 2014 and have not been back to the postseason since. St. Bonaventure was in the 2021 edition of March Madness and went to the semifinals of the 2022 NIT.

An 8-0 run late in the first half gave visiting Davidson a lead it never relinquished on Wednesday night in a 77-68 victory at UMass. Jaylen Curry led the Minutemen with 14 points while Daniel Rivera added 12. Rahsool Diggins leads the team at 17.4 points per game, with Curry getting 12.8 points a night and Rivera averaging 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds.

The Bonnies led by as much as 13 in the second half on Wednesday at Rhode Island before the hosts stormed back to win 68-64, taking the lead on a four-point play with two seconds to go. Jonah Hinton led the offense with 18 points while Melvin Council Jr. and Noel Brown each dropped in 16. Council scores 14.3 points per game, with Chance Moore averaging 13.2 points and 6.8 rebounds.

UMass leads the all-time series 43-35, but St. Bonaventure has won the last two meetings and 12 of the last 13 and the teams will play again at St. Bonaventure on March 5. Frank Martin is 46-41 in his third season coaching the Minutemen while Mark Schmidt has a 319-235 mark in his 18th season leading the Bonnies.
