The St. John’s Red Storm goes for its 10th straight win on Friday night when it visits the UConn Huskies. The Red Storm have been red-hot and it has helped propel them to the top of the Big East standings. They have reeled off nine straight wins since losing to Creighton on New Year’s Eve and they now sit at 20-3 overall and 11-1 in the Big East. It has been a agreat season for Rick Pitino and his team and they are looking to prove that they are ready to win the conference, but first they need to get through the two-time defending National champion Huskies. The Red Storm have bene led by RJ Luis Jr. who is scoring a team-best 17.4 points per game. Zuby Ejiofor has also been good as he is scoring 14.3 points per game, while also grabbing a team-high 8.3 rebounds per game. Kadary Richmond is also scoring in double figures at 12.1 points per game.

The Huskies will have their hands full trying to stop a potent Red Storm attack as they look to win a third straight game.
The Huskies come into Friday 16-6 on the season and 8-3 in the Big East. They are just 4-3 over their last seven games and have looked like they have come back down to the rest of the competition after two straight championhips.
The Huskies did go on the road on Saturday and pick up a big upset win over No. 9 Marquette. The win comes after they erased a big deficit to come back to beat DePaul last Wednesday.
The Huskies have been led by Solo Ball and Alex Karaban who are both averaging 15.0 points per game.
