Xavier looks to its 8-1 home record as it hosts St. John’s in a Big East matchup on Tuesday night in Cincinnati

St. John’s (12-3) got back on the winning track on Saturday with a win at home to improve to 3-1 in Big East Conference play but the Red Storm hits the road on Tuesday night to visit Xavier (9-6) at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati. The Musketeers are 8-1 at home this season and are off to a 1-3 start in conference play. St. John’s hasn’t gone to the NCAA tournament since 2019 and pre-emptively rejected a potential NIT bid last season to finish 20-13. Xavier played in the 2023 edition of March Madness, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, and bowed out of the NIT in the first round last spring to conclude a 16-18 campaign.
