The Stony Brook Seawolves will take a road trip on Saturday for a Colonial Athletic game against the Hofstra Pride at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. The Seawolves are just one spot out of last place in the standings with a conference record of 1-10 and an overall record of 3-8. The team has struggled this season and is currently on a three-game losing streak with the most recent being a 66-59 loss to Towson on Thursday night at home. Andre Snoddy led all scorers with an 18-point performance while Ben Wight and CJ Luster II joined him in double figures with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Snoddy also led on the boards with 10 rebounds to earn a double-double, but the team still came up short in a game that saw six score ties and six lead changes.

The Pride currently sits in 10th place in the Colonial Athletic standings and brings a two-game losing streak into Saturday’s game. The team is 4-7 in conference play with a 12-12 record overall. On Thursday night, the team hosted Northeastern, falling in a 77-68 defeat in front of 1200 fans. Despite the loss, Jean Aranguren finished with a career-night with a game-high 35 points, 25 of which were scored in the second half as the team tried to make up the seven point deficit that Northeastern created at halftime. Aranguren also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds along with Michael Graham, earning a double-double in the team’s second straight loss.

Stony Brook and Hofstra have met a total of 28 times and the the Pride holds a commanding 22-6 lead in the all-time series. The last time the two teams met was during last year’s CAA Tournament Semifinals and Stony Brook earned a 63-59 win to take its first trip to the CAA final.
