Syracuse will travel to Coral Gables, Florida on Tuesday for a college basketball showdown in the ACC. The Orange will face-off against Miami (FL) at the Watsco Center. The Syracuse Orange are 11-13 overall this season and have fallen to just 5-8 against teams in the conference. They are tied with Cal, Virginia and Georgia Tech, while sitting 3.5 games ahead of their opponent tonight. They are also seven games behind conference-leading No. 3 Duke.

They have played three games this month already, two in the last seven days. They lost to Duke at home by 29 points, with J.J. Starling, the team’s leading scorer, leading the way with 12 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Last weekend, they won a three-overtime thriller against Boston College by nine points, led by a 28-point game-high performance from Starling.

The Miami Hurricanes are 5-18 overall this season, and just one of those five wins has come against an ACC team. They are 1-10 against teams in the conference, sitting in last place in the ACC. They are one game behind 2-10 Boston College and NC State and 3.5 games behind their opponent.

Their only conference win came at the beginning of this month in a 63-57 defeat over Notre Dame at home on Feb. 1. Matthew Cleveland led the way with 21 points in a game-high that night. Last weekend, they went back to losing, dropping a game by 10 points to Louisville on the road. A.J. Staton-McCray led the team with 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting in the loss.
