Auburn hasn’t taken the court in seven days with its last game taking place last Saturday against former No. 23 Georgia on the road. They won that game by two points despite being without John Wooden Player of the Year candidate Johni Broome. Tahaad Pettiford led the team in the win with 24 points on 7-of-13 shooting in 22 minutes off the bench. Auburn will be without the talent of Broome in this contest as well.

The Tennessee Volunteers are 17-2 overall this season and for a long time held the No. 1 rank in the country. After finishing non-conference play with a 13-0 record, they have since lost two conference games out of six total games in the SEC. Those losses came against No. 5 Florida and last weekend Vanderbilt by one point on the road.

Earlier this week, they took on No. 14 ranked Mississippi State and won by 12 points on their home court in Knoxville. Chaz Lanier, the team’s leading scorer, dropped 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Felix Okpara finished with only nine points, but the forward grabbed 12 rebounds in the win as well.
