    Texas A&M, the No. 10 ranked men’s college basketball team in the country, will travel to Lexington, Kentucky, on Tuesday night for a SEC showdown against the No. 6 ranked team in the nation, Kentucky, at Rupp Arena. The Kentucky Wildcats are 13-3 overall this season and the No. 4 team in the SEC after dropping a game to an SEC team. They are 2-1 against teams in the conference, losing their only SEC game to Georgia on the road last week by 13 points, despite Lamont Butler’s 20-point night.

    Before that unranked loss, they took down No. 8 Florida in an offensive showdown by six points, 106-100. Koby Brea had 23 points to lead Kentucky, followed by five players in double figures, including Butler, who had 19 points and eight assists. Their last win came against No. 14 Mississippi State by five points. Otega Oweh still leads Kentucky in scoring throughout the season, averaging 15.6 points per game.

    The Texas A&M Aggies are 13-3 overall this season, similar to Kentucky, also with a 2-1 record against teams in the conference. They started the conference schedule off with two wins at home against Texas by 20 points and on the road against Oklahoma by just two points last week. They lost their first game of SEC play by six points at home against Alabama last weekend.

    Wade Taylor IV leads Texas A&M in scoring this season, averaging 15.7 points, a team-high 4.8 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game. Solomon Washington, who averages 5.2 points per game, also leads the team in rebounds with 6.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
