Both of those losses came in November, the same month they took down former No. 21 Ohio State by 14 points and former same-ranked Creighton by four points. They won all five games in December, including a ranked game against former No. 11 Purdue in the Indy Classic. Texas A&M is led by senior guard Wade Taylor IV. He is averaging 15.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game.

The Texas Longhorns also won 11 of their non-conference games in the first two months of the season. After opening the season as the No. 19-ranked team, they lost their first game against Ohio State in the Hall of Fame Series. They won their other six games in November, the best against Syracuse at the UKG Legends Classic.

Their only loss in December came against No. 11-ranked UConn by 11 points at home right after being NC State by four points on the road in the SEC/ACC Challenge. They won the remaining four games of their non-conference schedule after the loss, though to no one good. Freshman sensation Tre Johnson leads Texas on the court. The 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 19.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, appearing in 11 of the team’s 13 games.
