With the home team looking to snap a two-game losing streak in Sunrise this weekend, Florida State welcomes non-conference foe Tulane to Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Seminoles lost back-to-back games incluidng a loss to LSU in the SEC-ACC Challenge and an overtime loss to NC State in their ACC opener last week. Florida State is now 7-3 overall with an 0-1 mark in conference play and a 4-1 home record this season. Tulane, on the other hand, got its fifth win of the season to improve to 5-6 overall with an 0-2 road record. The Green Wave have two more non-conference contests before opening American play later this month. Florida State has won the three previous matchups between these two teams, including a 59-54 win during the 2021 season.

Most recently, Florida State lost its ACC opener in overtime to NC State by a final score of 84-74 in Raleigh last weekend. NC State outscored the Seminoles 14-4 in overtime to get the win at the Lenovo Center. Florida State was led by senior Jamir Watkins who scored 24 points with three assists. Malique Ewin also scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the loss. 

As for Tulane, the Green Wave cruised to a 86-58 victory over Southern Miss in New Orleans earlier this week. Kaleb Banks led Tulane in scoring with 18 points while Gregg Glenn III and Roway Brumbaugh had 16 points each in the win. Overall, eleven different players scored in the game for the Green Wave.
