The UNLV Rebels go for a fourth straight win to start conference play against Boise State in college basketball.

Conference play has brought out the best in UNLV (9-5) after an up-and-down start to the season. The Rebels went through non-conference play just 6-5 overall including a three game losing streak. Since Mountain West Conference play began the Rebels are undefeated and go for a fourth straight win against this defensive minded Boise State (11-4) team. The Rebels head into this game on a four game winning streak, playing their best basketball of the season. The Broncos were riding a five game winning streak, playing their best basketball of the season before dropping their last game. Now they look to bounce back with the opportunity to play spoiler against the Rebels.

Thomas is averaging 16.3 points and 4.3 assists per game, leading the team in both categories while shooting 41.5% from three. In the first three conference games he has elevated his game averaging 15.7 points and 5.0 assists per game on 42.9% shooting from three.

For the Broncos this season the team has been defined by their play on the defensive end. They are allowing just 66.3 points per game to opponents as a team. That defense will need to play at a very high level to knock off the Rebels and give their rivals their first conference loss of the season.
