Maryland goes for its fourth straight win on Thursday night in college basketball when it welcomes USC to town.

The Maryland Terrapins continue their three-game homestand on Thursday night when they take on the USC Trojans in college basketball. The Terrapins won the first game of the homestand on Sunday when they whipped Iowa 101-75. They trailed the Hawkeyes by four at halftime, but outscored them by 30 in the second half to get the win. The victory was their third in a row and seventh in the last eight games. The hot streak has pushed their record to 20-6 overall and 10-5 in the Big Ten. They currently sit tied in the loss column with Purdue for fourth place in the conference standings. They have been a balanced offensive team this season, as five guys are scoring in double figures with Derik Queen leading the way at 16.0 points per game. Julian Reese has also been good, as he is the team’s top rebounder at 9.0 per game while also scoring 13.8 points per game.

The Trojans could have their hands full trying to stop the duo as they look to avoid a second straight loss.

They fell to Minnesota on Saturday at home in a game they needed to win. They have now lost three of their last four games and it has dropped them to 14-11 overall and 6-8 in the Big Ten.

They have struggled at times in their first season in the Big Ten, but they do own upset wins over Illinois and Michigan State.

Desmon Claude is the team’s top scorer at 16.0 points per game. Wesley Yates III and Chibuzo Agbo are also scoring in double figures for the Trojans at 12.8 and 12.1 points per game.
