The Purdue Boilermakers return home on Friday night to take on the USC Trojans in a Big Ten showdown. The Boilermakers come into Friday on a three-game winning streak and they have won 10 of their last 11 games. The streak has pushed their record to 18-5 overall and 10-2 in the Big Ten. They currently sit a half-game up on both Michigan State and Michigan for first place in the conference standings. They get another big game with Michigan on Tuesday, but first want to make sure they send the Trojans home with a loss. The Boilermakers have been led by Trey Kaufman-Renn who is averaging a team-best 18.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Braden Smith has also been good as he is scoring 16.4 points per game, while Fletcher Loyer is adding 13.8 points per game.

The loss to the Wildcats come after they upset No. 7 Michigan State at home. The defeat dropped them to 13-9 overall and 5-6 in the Big Ten.
It has been an up and down conference season for the Trojans, as they have gone 4-5 over their last nine and have alternated wins and losses over the last five.
