The Purdue Boilermakers and USC Trojans hit the court on Thursday night in the final second round game of the Big Ten Tournament. The Boilermakers come into the tournament on a bit of a slide as they have lost five of their last seven games. They had won four in a row to move into a first place tie at the beginning of February, but they have struggled since, with their only wins coming at home against UCLA and Rutgers. They wrapped up their regular season with a road loss at Illinois and it dropped their record to 21-10 overall and 13-7 in the Big Ten. They are still a lock to make the NCAA Tournament, but would like to turn things around in the conference tournament before Selection Sunday. The Boilermakers did beat the Trojans in their only meeting of the season. Trey Kaufman-Renn scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help them get the 90-72 victory.
