The No. 1-seeded West Liberty will take on the No. 8-seeded Davis and Elkins in the third quarterfinal of the Mountain East Conference championship tournament on Friday night at the WestBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia. The West Liberty Hilltoppers will enter the tournament at the quarterfinal level after finishing the season with a 25-3 record overall and an 18-2 record against conference teams. Their only two conference losses were to Frostburg State by two points in a 102-100 game and Concord by eight points.

They finished 12-17 overall this season with a conference record of 7-13. Both of their home and away records were under the .500 mark, but their schedule at neutral sites leaves them with a 2-1 record. Silva leads the team in scoring throughout the entirety of the season, averaging 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
