Julius Thedford and Western Kentucky will take the court in a CUSA battle against Al Green and Louisiana Tech on Thursday night.

Western Kentucky will travel to Ruston, Louisiana, on Thursday night for an inner-conference men’s college basketball battle in Conference USA. There, they will take on Louisiana Tech at the Thomas Assembly Center. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, the visiting team, are 11-7 overall this season, which includes a 2-3 record against other teams in Conference USA. They have played all five games since the turn of the new year after going 9-4 against non-conference teams in November and December. They opened the year up with one of their two wins against Liberty by one point.

In the 71-70 win, Julius Thedford led the team with 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting. They went on to lose the next two games to Florida International and Jacksonville State. Two weekends ago, they took their home court against Kennesaw State and came away with their second win by 16 points. Last weekend, they lost on the road to Middle Tennessee State by 14 points.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will take their home court with a 13-6 record. They are a half-game behind their opponent with a 2-4 record against conference teams. They are just one game above the last two teams, including 1-5 Sam Houston and Florida International. They lost their first two games of the year against UTEP and New Mexico.

Their first conference win came against Florida International by 17 points on the back of a 21-point game-high from Al Green. They won back-to-back games taking down Liberty at home by five points in the next game. They have lost two straight heading into today against Jax State and Kennesaw State, both on the road.
