Mountain West play continues on Tuesday night when UNLV hosts Wyoming in college basketball action.
The Wyoming Cowboys will travel to Las Vegas on Tuesday night for a Mountain West matchup in college basketball against the UNLV Rebels at the Thomas & Mack Center. The Cowboys are currently in eighth place in the conference standings with a Mountain West record of 2-5 and an overall record of 9-9. The team has lost three games in a row with the most recent being a 79-63 defeat by Colorado State on Saturday. Obi Agbim led the Wyoming offense with 26 points and Dontaie Allen joined him in double figures with 14 points. Agbim also led on the boards with six rebounds. The team finished the game shooting 39 percent from the field, but struggled from long range at just 22 percent.

The Rebels are 11-7 overall and 5-2 in conference play, putting them in fourth place in the Mountain West standings. The team’s most recent game was played against San Diego State and resulted in a 76-68 win, marking its second win in a row. Dedan Thomas Jr. led the team in scoring with 19 points, while Brooklyn Hicks and Jaden Henley joined him in double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Henley pulled down eight rebounds to lead the team on the boards, coming up just shy of a double-double.
UNLV and Wyoming have met a total of 19 times in their history and the Rebels hold a 14-5 lead in the series. The Rebels have won the last four games against the Cowboys with the most recent being a 75-69 overtime win last season.
