No. 17 Arkansas will face off against No. 22 Vanderbilt in the Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 22-ranked team in the country, the Vanderbilt Commodores, will face off on Sunday against the Arkansas Razorbacks, the No. 17-ranked team in the nation, in the championship game of the Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament for a chance at an NCAA automatic bid and a tournament championship. The Razorbacks closed out the regular season with a 13-5 conference record and a 25-8 record overall. Freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr led the team in scoring this season with 22.7 points and 6.4 assists per game. They opened up the SEC tournament in the quarterfinals with a matchup against the No. 11-seeded Oklahoma. They came away with a hard-fought, three-point win, 82-79. Acuff led the team with 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting and five assists in 40 minutes, while Trevon Brazile pulled down 11 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.

Duke Miles scored 30 points as Vanderbilt sent the No. 25-ranked team in the country, Tennessee, home.

In the semifinal round against No. 1-seeded Florida, Vanderbilt pulled to a 13-point lead at the halftime break and kept the foot on the gas in the second half, winning the half by four points and the game, 91-74. This time it was Tanner provided the spark that the Vanderbilt needed in the moment, pouring in a team-best 20 points with a game-high eight assists in 37 minutes. The winner of this game will win the Southeastern Conference for the first time since 2011 for Vanderbilt and 1999 for Arkansas.
