Acuff led the team with 27 points on 11-of-21 shooting and five assists in 40 minutes, while Trevon Brazile pulled down 11 rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.

In the semifinal round against No. 1-seeded Florida, Vanderbilt pulled to a 13-point lead at the halftime break and kept the foot on the gas in the second half, winning the half by four points and the game, 91-74. This time it was Tanner provided the spark that the Vanderbilt needed in the moment, pouring in a team-best 20 points with a game-high eight assists in 37 minutes. The winner of this game will win the Southeastern Conference for the first time since 2011 for Vanderbilt and 1999 for Arkansas.
