The UCF Knights will welcome the West Virginia Mountaineers to their home court on Saturday in a battle of two Big 12 men’s basketball schools.

The West Virginia Mountaineers will travel this week in a Big 12 Conference showdown against the UCF Knights in men’s college basketball at Addition Financial Arena on Saturday. The Knights will take their talents to Morgantown with a 17-6 record this season and a 6-5 mark inside the Big 12. The Mountaineers, on the other hand, have risen to 6-5 in conference play and have a 15-9 record overall this season. UCF and West Virginia find themselves back-to-back on the Big 12 standings, each with a 6-5 record, tied also with No. 22 BYU. They are two games behind No. 5 Iowa State and No. 16 Texas Tech, and four games behind the conference-leading No. 1 Arizona and No. 3 Houston, which are both tied at 10-1.

Going back home with a huge test against No. 13 Texas Tech, WVU fell by seven points, 70-63, despite Brenen Lorient posting a 21-point outing. Huff leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 15.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Lorient’s 11.3 points per game follow him.

UCF has dropped two straight games this month, losing on the road to No. 3 Houston and to a common opponent with WVU in Cincinnati by 20 points. Senior guard Riley Kugel leads the team in scoring this season with 14.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. He is followed by backcourt mate Themus Fulks, who chips in 13.3 points and a team-best 6.8 assists per game. Jordan Burks and JaMichael Stillwell both average double digits as well this season.
