When the 2022 NFL Draft starts on Thursday, there’s going to be a lot of attention on the Meadowlands, where both the Jets and Giants have multiple top 10 picks. The Jets will be the first of the pair to make a pick, as the team picks No. 4 and then later at No. 10.

The Jets went 4-13 last year, with rookie QB Zach Wilson starting 13 games. He completed just 55.6% of his passes with nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Elijah Moore led the team in targets with 77, turning them into 43 catches for 538 yards. With both players entering their second season, will the Jets offense make a leap? Which player could New York draft to help make that possible?
At No. 4, the Jets likely won’t be able to take one of the top two offensive tackles on the board considering the needs of the teams ahead of them, but there’s a good chance edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux falls to that spot. The team should also have its pick of defensive backs here, with options like Derek Stingley Jr. and Kyle Hamilton in play.
As for the No. 10 pick, there have been some rumors that the Jets could trade that pick, potentially to the 49ers in a deal for Deebo Samuel. If the Jets keep the pick, they could go with a DB if they don’t take one at No. 4, with Stingley, Hamilton or Sauce Gardner in play if one of the three falls. Wide receiver is an option as well, with Drake London, Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams likely still on the board here.
