The Cardinals opened the preseason with a 16-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Michael Carter ran for a touchdown and Tony Jones Jr. caught a 10-yard touchdown from Clayton Tune in the fourth quarter, but the Saints won on a last-second Charlie Smyth field goal.
The Colts lost 34-30 in an exciting preseason game against the Broncos. Evan Hull ran for a touchdown in the second quarter and Micah Abraham scored on a fumble return in the third quarter, but it was the fourth when the Colts really turned it on with a pair of touchdowns. First was a Tyler Goodson rushing score then Laquon Treadwell caught a 16-yard touchdown from Jason Bean.
