The Denver Broncos look to keep pace at the top of the AFC, when they face off against the Las Vegas Raiders for the second time this season.

The Denver Broncos look to win 10 games in a row when they travel to take on the Las Vegas Raiders for the second time this season in Week 14. The Broncos may not be blowing anyone away on offense, but they are doing just enough to keep winning this season. The last time Denver kept winning close games and were led by their stellar defense, the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 10 years ago. The Broncos have the same ambition this year, but are still trying to prove they belong with the rest of the league’s elite teams. That’s still the case, despite Denver only sitting behind the New England Patriots in the AFC. The last time the Broncos played against the Raiders was a perfect example of this dilemma. Denver beat Las Vegas at home 10-7 on Thursday Night Football more than a month ago. The Raiders are one of the worst teams in football, and the Broncos had trouble beating them at home. But Las Vegas would love to be in Denver’s shoes right now, considering the Raiders are 2-10 this first year under Pete Carroll. They have already fired their offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, and that still hasn’t brought about any winning. Las Vegas is trying to end a six-game losing streak in the late window on Sunday. The last win for the Raiders came against the Tennessee Titans, who are 1-11 overall. Subsequently, the Broncos are the -7.5-point favorites to keep this winning streak from Week 4 rolling on the road on Sunday.

The Broncos are coming off one of the most exciting wins of the season, after beating the Washington Commanders 27-26 in overtime on Sunday Night Football. Even though the Broncos ultimately survived, it was another indicative game of their season. Denver was up six in the third quarter on a RJ Harvey rushing touchdown. But the Broncos couldn’t put the dagger in the 3-9 Commanders, who were playing without QB Jayden Daniels. Denver was shutout in the fourth quarter, and Washington forced overtime. Denver scored the first touchdown of the extra quarter with another Harvey touchdown, but the Broncos let Marcus Mariota drive down and get within one-point. Instead of going for the tie, Washington had little to lose by going for two and the win. Mariota had a receiver wide open for the game-winning pass, but Denver’s Nik Bonito had other plans by knocking down his pass to walk off the game. Denver has high expectations to walk away with an easy win today. Can the Broncos defy the narrative of this season, and win comfortably on the road against their big division rival?

The Raiders are coming off a lopsided loss against another AFC West rival, dropping to the Los Angeles Chargers 31-14 last week. Geno Smith was limited to 165 passing yards, but he threw two touchdowns with an interception. Smith tied the game late in the second quarter, on a touchdown pass to tight end Brock Bowers. Smith threw his second touchdown of the game to Bowers again, but LA had scored 17 points in the meantime. Las Vegas wasn’t able to slow down Justin Herbert, despite the QB playing with a broken hand. Things certainly don’t get any easier today, but at least the Raiders are at home and they kept it close the last time they played the Broncos.
