Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs (12-1) pulled off yet another last-second win. After trailing by a slim margin for most of the second half against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football, the Chiefs were able to drive down the field late in the game, convert multiple third downs, and on the final play of the game had a field goal deflect in off the upright to clinch the 19-17 win – their second in in a row by that exact score. With that win the Chiefs clinched the AFC West, and with the Buffalo Bills losing last week they now have an inside track on the top seed in the AFC Playoffs. They’ll try to get one step closer this Sunday when they visit the Cleveland Browns (3-10).

The Browns have played some exciting football in recent weeks in their own right. That included 41-32 shootout loss to the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football two weeks ago, and then a 27-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Since taking over as the starting quarterback, Jameis Winston has gone 2-4 throwing for 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Winston will face a tough test in this Chiefs’ defense, which has been the leading unit for Kansas City this year. Kansas City’s 19.4 points allowed per game ranks seventh in the NFL, and just last week they held the Chargers to 288 total yards in the win.
