The Kansas City Chiefs go for 7-0 when they take on their division rival for the first time this season in the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Kansas City Chiefs look to remain the only unbeaten team in the league when they take on their division rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The scary thing is that the defending Super Bowl champs don’t even seem to be playing at their full powers. They lost their leading receiver Rashee Rice and running back Isiah Pacheco has been on the IR for weeks now. Kareem Hunt is taking full advantage of being back with his former team stepping up in a big way for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes don’t even look pretty on paper with six touchdowns compared to eight interceptions but all he does is win. JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown are also out.

That led the team to make a huge signing this week with the addition of future Hall of Famer DeAndre Hopkins. Even if he isn’t at the height of his powers, Hopkins will be a very welcomed addition with Mahomes after leaving a 1-5 Tennessee squad. Kansas City is coming off a Super Bowl rematch win beating the San Francisco 49ers on the road in controlling fashion by a 28-18 final. The defense and rushing attack are the backbone of this new-look Chiefs team. Let’s see if that formula stays the same against one of their biggest rivals on the road in Vegas today. Despite all of the injuries, Kansas City is still the -9.5-point favorite against the Raiders.

Meanwhile, the Raiders are reeling losing four of their last five games as the team tries to avoid its fourth loss in a row. Las Vegas turned over the ball four times in its last game against the Los Angeles Rams with Gardner Minshew throwing three interceptions. The Raiders lost 20-15 with Minshew coming in relief of Aidan O’Connell who was injured in the game. Minshew is listed as the starter for this one but recently signed Desmond Ridder off the practice squad may be in the game if the former gets off to another slow start. This is the exact opposite of the opponent you want in a get-right game. At least Maxx Crosby appears to be healthy after recovering from a high ankle sprain.
