The Dallas Cowboys need to get a win today against the Atlanta Falcons to keep their season alive. 

In a pivotal Week 9 contest, the Atlanta Falcons will host the Dallas Cowboys this afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While both squads could really use a victory today, all of the pressure is on Dallas given the way the divisional standings are beginning to pan out.

The Cowboys are 3-4 to this point, which is good for third in the NFC East. They’ve lost two games in a row, and weirdly enough are 3-1 on the road this season which is something to consider entering today. With a loss today, it would be a tough hill to climb the rest of the way.

At 5-3, the Falcons lead the NFC South and are the only team above .500 in the division. Even then, they’re only 2-3 at home which makes this one of the more fascinating games on Sunday’s slate. The Falcons will be the favorites in this contest, but anything could happen.
