Is Aaron Rodgers back? After an improved performance against the New England Patriots last week, Rodgers and the New York Jets host the Denver Broncos in the early window on Sunday.
After two up and down weeks to start the season, it looked like things started to click for the New York Jets (2-1) last week. The Jets dominated the New England Patriots for 60 minutes on Thursday night football. In the 24-3 Jets win at MetLife Stadium, the Jets outgained the Patriots putting up 400 total yards to the Patriots’ 139. In particular it was a better game for quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who looked more comfortable in his third game back from a torn Achilles that cost him all but four plays of his 2023 season. This week, Rodgers and the Jets will look to build on that performance when they’re home once again, hosting the Denver Broncos (1-2).

On the other side, the Broncos also come in on a high note. After two losses to start the season Denver went into Raymond James Stadium last week and beat the defending NFC South champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-7. It was the best game yet for rookie first-round quarterback Bo Nix, who completed 25 of his 36 pass attempts for 216. While he didn’t throw a touchdown, he did add one on the ground picking up 47 yards on nine carries.
This will be the fifth year in a row the Jets and Broncos play in the regular season. The Jets won each of the last two, after the Broncos won in 2020 and 2021.
