The Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots look to turn things around with both teams trying to end a three-game losing streak.

The New England Patriots host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday with these two AFC East teams just trying to spark any kind of momentum in the first quarter of the season. Tua Tagovailoa remains under concussion protocol and is placed on the IR. At minimum, Tagovailoa will miss four games after he suffered his fourth diagnosed concussion against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football. Now Miami is trying to avoid losing four games in a row. Head coach Mike McDaniel has a 1-6 record when not starting Tagovailoa at QB. It was reported over the weekend that NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills saying that the league will not play a role in determining Tagovailoa’s return. Miami’s offense stalled once again without Tagovailoa with Tyler Huntley getting the start completing 14-22 passes for 96 yards. Huntley did have the most rushing yards for the team with 40 and he had a rushing touchdown. This offense will likely have a similar performance with Tagovailoa out of the lineup against the Patriots and are only a one-point favorite heading into Foxborough, MA.

The Patriot’s look just as hapless on offense and are on the same trajectory as Miami with a 1-3 record. The team wasn’t competitive last week against the San Francisco 49ers on the road. The 49ers were up 20-0 late in the second quarter before New England kicked a field goal as time expired. The second half was a bit better but at no time was the game competitive. Jacoby Brissett went 19/32 for 168 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Both teams are looking for a spark at QB so expect this one to be a low-scoring but close contest.
