Skylar Thompson and the Miami Dolphins will take the field against Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon.
The Miami Dolphins will head on the road in the third week of the NFL season to take on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, on Sunday afternoon. The Dolphins come into this game with a 1-1 record after opening the season with a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars at home and losing last week at home to the Buffalo Bills 31-10. However, the bigger news that came out of last week’s game was the concussion of starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. This is the third massive concussion of his career, and it landed him on injured reserve earlier this week. That means under center, Skylar Thompson, will get the start and lead the team. The expectation is a run-first offense from here on out heavily involving De’Von Achane who has 32 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown in two games. Behind Achane will be Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson, and rookie Jaylen Wright.

Geno Smith has been electric this season with 498 yards and two touchdowns with an interception.
DK Metcalf leads the receiving corps highlighted also by Tyler Lockett and Jaxson Smith-Njigba. Metcalf has 13 receptions for 158 yards and a touchdown despite being questionable to play this week. Ken Walker III had 103 yards and a touchdown on the ground despite not playing in Week 2 as well.
