The Philadelphia Eagles try to stop the bleeding when they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers for Monday Night Football. The Eagles are looking to avoid losing three in a row tonight, after their offense has stalled a bit in the last two games. Philadelphia fans might have the finish of the 2023 season still looming large in their heads. The Eagles started 10-1 that season, but lost seven of their last eight games including in the first round of the playoffs. This would be a huge statement victory for the Eagles, who sit 8-4 overall and 4-2 on the road. The Chargers are also 8-4 and are 5-2 at home. The Chargers have already beat the Broncos this year, and they end the regular season in Denver. It helps that the Kansas City Chiefs have been eliminated for division title contention for the first time in nearly a decade, after they lost to the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football. LA has been playing great lately, winning four of its last five games. There is still a chance to grab the top spot in the division, but the Eagles will be a slight -2.5-point favorite to grab the victory on the road.

The Chargers are coming off a dominating win against the Raiders last week in a 31-14 final. The game was tied at seven at half, but the Chargers came alive in the second half putting up 24 points. Herbert broke a bone in his non-throwing hand, but he is expected to play in this game against the Eagles. The Chargers QB still played well enough despite the injury, throwing for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Kimani Vidal picked up the slack, rushing for 126 yards on 25 carries with a touchdown.

The Eagles are coming off a 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 13. Jalen Hurts threw for 230 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Chicago was able to stop the run, limiting Saquon Barkley to just 56 yards and he didn’t reach the endzone. A.J. Brown finally got into the offense, with both touchdowns from Hurts going to the dynamic receiver. The problem was that they came too late. Chicago was up by as much as 24-9 late in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia needs to get off to a much quicker start tonight, if they are going to avoid making this an extended losing streak.
