After a rough showing in the season opener, the Cleveland Browns made progress in Week 2. Can they keep that up against the New York Giants this Sunday?
As a part of Sunday afternoon’s NFL slate, the New York Giants (0-2) visit the Cleveland Browns (1-1) in an interconference matchup. Cleveland ended up in the national spotlight after a Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but had a bounce-back performance last week on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Deshaun Watson and the offense didn’t turn the ball over once, got the run game going to the tune of 125 yards on 29 carries, and came away with an 18-13 win. Can Kevin Stefanski’s squad keep building on that momentum this week?

Look for the Browns to turn up the heat on Giants quarterback Daniel Jones this week. Cleveland recorded four sacks last week, coming from four different players. The Giants have done a pretty good job of keeping pressure off Jones this year – his 32.9% pressure rate ranks 14th in the NFL – but this Browns front represents a tough test.
On top of protecting Daniel Jones, look for the Giants to get get their offense going by targeting rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers. Nabers had a monster game in the team’s Week 2 loss, catching 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. That was after a five-catch, 66-yard performance in Week 1.
Coverage of this game can be found on FOX. Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, and Megan Olivi will be on the call.
