The Houston Texans will try to bounce back from their first loss of the year when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

In an AFC South matchup on Saturday, the Houston Texans (2-1) will try to bounce back from their first loss of the year when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) at NRG Stadium. Last week the Texans were at U.S. Bank Stadium to take on the also-undefeated Minnesota Vikings, and lost 34-7 after falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter. They’ll now be in bounce-back mode as they play two crucial games at home back-to-back – in the division this week against Jacksonville, then against the Buffalo Bills next week.

Despite the loss, newly-acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs had his best game for the Texans so far. Diggs caught 10 of his 12 targets for 94 yards. Look for the Texans to get Diggs involved again as they try to get their offense back on track after scoring just one touchdown last week.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars are looking for any sort of momentum to try and avoid a winless December. After dropping a pair of close games to start the season the Jags faced the Bills on Monday Night Football last week and lost 47-10.

Last year, things came down to the wire between the Texans and Jaguars. Houston finished one game ahead of Jacksonville to win the AFC South, after splitting the regular season games with the road teams winning each matchup. That was the case in 2022 as well, with the Jaguars’ win ending a nine-game Texans’ winning streak in the rivalry.
