The Philadelphia Eagles go for their fourth win in a row when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

Head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars makes his return to Philadelphia where he won the franchise’s first Super Bowl in Week 9 to take on the Eagles. The homecoming might not be so happy as both of these teams are on very different trajectories. The Jaguars are having having a continuation of the second of their season last year. Jacksonville started 6-2 in 2023 but ended the year by going 9-8 and just missing the playoffs. Now the team is 2-6 and has yet to win a game on the road this season. This is considering that the Jags have been playing better in their last two games but the result was the same in their last one losing to the Green Bay Packers 30-27.

Packers QB Jordan Love left the game in the third with a groin injury but Green Bay backup Malik Willis was able to preserve the win. Jacksonville rallied to tie the game with a phenomenal 14-yard dime to Evan Engram in the endzone to tie the game but the Jaguars left too much time on the clock. Willis and the Packers drove for 64 yards with less than two minutes and Brandon McManus kicked the game-winning 24-yard field goal to avoid the upset. The Jaguars are seven-point underdogs against the Eagles on the road today.

The Eagles meanwhile are playing their best football of the season and will be expected to walk away with the W at home today. Philadelphia has won three games in a row and four of its last five games. The Eagles made slight work of the Cincinnati Bengals last week winning 37-17 on the road. Saquon Barkley rushed past the century mark and scored a touchdown while Jalen Hurts was really on fire rushing for three scores and throwing for another to DeVonta Smith. If the Eagles have even half of the rushing performance they did last week, they should win this game and catch up to the Washington Commanders for the top spot in the NFC East.
