The Detroit Lions have won six games in a row when they travel to take on the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football.
The Detroit Lions are easily the best team in the NFC and they try to make an even bigger statement on Sunday Night Football when they travel to take on the Houston Texans. Detroit goes for its seventh win in a row and the undefeated defending champ Kansas City Chiefs are the only team with an undefeated 8-0 record. The Lions have yet to lose a game on the road this season and their only loss was by four points in Week 2 against Tampa Bay. Detroit is coming off a big division win beating the Green Bay Packers on the road by a 24-14 final. The Packers led off the scoring with a field goal in the first but Detroit then scored 24 unanswered points. Green Bay finally woke up late in the third and early fourth quarters but it was too little, too late to complete the comeback. A big difference in the game was a Kerby Joseph 27-yard interception return for a touchdown with just 32 seconds left in the first half. The Lions have faced a lot of criticism that they’ve just won in warm weather or in its dome in Detroit. They easily put that to rest against a good Green Bay squad. This team is legit and they will be -3.5-point favorites on the road tonight.

Houston is coming off a disappointing loss on Thursday Night Football against a then 2-6 New York Jets team. Garrett Wilson made an immaculate grab to get New York’s first lead of the day early in the fourth quarter. Houston held a lead for three quarters but it could only score a field goal with 39 seconds left in the game.
It was Houston’s only score of the second half which ended a five-game losing streak for the Jets. C.J. Stroud was on the same page with Tank Dell passing for 126 of his 191 yards but he wasn’t able to get many others involved. Joe Mixon was the exception when he rushed for 106 yards and he reached the end zone. But this offense is going to need to incorporate many others and boost Stroud’s numbers if the Texans have a chance of pulling this upset off.
