The Dallas Cowboys look to spark some life in their season when they host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.

Week 11 concludes with an in-state rivalry when the Dallas Cowboys host the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys need a win in the worst way to end a four-game losing streak. It doesn’t help that the Cowboys’ franchise QB Dak Prescott is missing the rest of the regular season and that both backups Cooper Rush and Trey Lance struggled to replace him in a 34-6 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles last week. Rush finished the day with just 45 yards passing against the Eagles.

It was nearly the exact opposite performance that Jalen Hurts turned in after accounting for four touchdowns on the day. Hurts rushed for two scores and threw for another couple. It didn’t help the Dallas cause when the Cowboys made five turnovers and only mustered 149 yards on the night. Houston has a similarly explosive offense and they are getting wide receiver Nico Collins back so the Cowboys better find some offensive momentum in a hurry.

For that reason, the Texans will be the favorites even on the road tonight with a -7-point line in their favor. But Houston is trying to avoid losing three in a row and four of its last five tonight. The Texans’ last loss was particularly a bitter one. Houston lost 26-23 on a walk-off field against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football.

The Texans had a phenomenal first half getting up 23-7 and were fueled by a great defensive stand forcing Detroit QB Jared Goff to throw five interceptions. But the Texans were not able to score at all in the second half which left open room for Jake Bates to barely squeeze in the game-winning 52-yard field goal as time expired. Look for them to bounce back tonight and stay atop of the AFC South standings.
