The Commanders finished the regular season campaign with a 12-5 overall record, which wasn’t enough to take the top spot in the NFC East, as the Philadelphia Eagles had a 14-3 record. However, the Commanders head into the postseason as the hottest team in the league thanks to a five-game winning streak. The unbeaten run has seen the team from the nation’s capital take victories over the likes of the Tennessee Titans, New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and Dallas Cowboys in successive fashion.

The Commanders beat the Titans 42-19 on Dec. 1 at Northwest Stadium, thanks to 206 passing yards and two touchdowns from Jayden Daniels. Terry McLaurin led the team in receiving with eight catches and 73 yards while securing both of Daniels’ touchdown passes.

Then, Washington took a one-point victory over the Saints at the Caesars Superdome where McLaurin once again received two touchdown passes from Daniels.

One week later, the Commanders took a thrilling 36-33 win over the Eagles on Dec. 22 at Northwest Stadium. Daniels threw for five touchdown passes, two of which went to Olamide Zaccheaus.

Then, Washington snuck a 30-24 overtime finish over the Falcons at home, thanks to three touchdown passes from Daniels.

Finally, in the last game of the regular season, the Commanders took a 23-19 finish over the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium. McLaurin received eight passes for 62 yards and one touchdown, this time catching passes from Marcus Mariota.
