AFC North pace-setters the Baltimore Ravens may encounter their toughest test of the NFL season so far when they welcome NFC East pace-setters the Washington Commanders to M&T Bank Stadium. And the timing couldn’t be better for the Commanders, who boast the most effective offense in the league right now, spearheaded by star rookie Jayden Daniels. He’ll go head-to-head against Lamar Jackson in a bid to decide who gets to keep their current streak alive, with both teams embarking on impressive runs of form since losing their first games of the campaign.

Washington makes the short trip north to meet its Maryland nemesis in what will be the first meeting between these teams since 2020.

The Ravens came out as clear winners on that occasion, though the Commanders did emerge triumphant on their last visit to M&T Bank Stadium all the way back in 2016.

The similarities between Jackson and Daniels’ play has inevitably led to comparison between the two, though ‘Action’ himself has sought to give his rival room to be his own player:

Jackson has ever right to be confident, too, considering he’s 9-0 in his last nine outings against NFC opposition, but one of the hottest prospects in the league may have something to say about that.

Washington head coach Dan Quinn is pulling for the likes of guard Nick Allegretti, tight end Zach Ertz and rusher Brian Robinson Jr to be fully fit after they missed practice in midweek.

Likewise, Noah Brown and Austin Ekeler are among those to keep an eye on after they were limited on Wednesday.

Baltimore’s list is slightly less extensive, though receiver Rashod Bateman and tight end Charlie Kolar—both of whom scored in the 41-38 win over Cincinnati last week—are carrying groin and toe injuries, respectively.
