The Jaguars hold the first pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, the second year in a row that the Jags have picked first overall. After taking Trevor Lawrence last year, the Jags won’t be thinking quarterback, but there’s still uncertainty on whether the team will take a defensive lineman or an offensive lineman.
Despite the team’s reputation for ineptitude, this is just the second time that Jacksonville has picked No. 1.
The Detroit Lions have the second pick in the draft. The Jets and Giants both have a pair of top 10 picks, while the Texans will pick third and 13th. Players expected to go off the board early include Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson, Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux, NC State offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu and Alabama offensive lineman Evan Neal.
This year’s NFL Draft is being held in Las Vegas. Coverage will begin Thursday, with the draft being aired on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
