Now they’ll have a quick turnaround, with the trip continuing with a back-to-back on Tuesday night in the Music City against the Nashville Predators (23-21-4). This is the first meeting of the year between these two interconference opponents. They split the season series last year.

Nashville is also coming into this game trying to bounce back from a loss. The Predators last played on Saturday and fell 7-2 to the Vegas Golden Knights. Prior to that they’d won three games in a row and four out of five. That includes a 7-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche in Denver on Friday, which was just the fifth regulation loss of the year for the Avs.

This will be a bit of a revenge game for Predators leading scorer Ryan O’Reilly, who spent three seasons in Buffalo from 2015 to 2018. O’Reilly has 44 points in 48 games this year, including a team-leading 28 assists.
