The 4 Nations Face-Off continues Saturday night with Team Canada and Team USA facing off in Montreal, QC.
It feels weird not to have an NHL All-Star game this season but we have something in store that is even better. The league will launch its inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off that will include Teams USA, Canada, Finland and Sweden. Team Finland vs Team Sweden will be the first game of the day at 1:00 p.m. ET followed by the final game of the double header between two fierce hockey rivals in Team USA and Team Canada. This will all go down at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC. The other venue will be the TD Garden, home of the Boston Bruins.

This will be a warm up for the 2026 and 2030 Winter Olympics which will include NHL players after they did not participate in the 2018 or 2022 games. The All-Star game will return this time next year in Long Island, NY home of the New York Islanders. This tournament will include a round robin format and a final game between the top two teams.
Team Canada is absolutely stacked with Sidney Crosby as well as Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon. The United States will be prepared to challenge Canada though led by Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews. He will be joined by defending Stanley Cup champion Matthew Tkachuk and Jack Eichel. Tkachuk, along with his brother Brady, both scored two goals in a dominating 6-1 win over Finland on Thursday. After this game, the red robin tournament will continue Monday with the United States vs Sweden and Canada vs Finland. If we couldn’t have the All-Star game, this is a great way to mix things up. Other leagues should take notice.
Regional restrictions may apply.
